Make Your Own Ceramic Vase on the Wheel

Learn the fundamentals of Wheel-Throwing to create your own ceramic vase, using Starworks Wild Clay!
Students will be provided plenty of Starworks Clay, in addition to all necessary tools, step by step instruction, a live demonstration, and three glaze options.
Three of the selected vases that students make will be dried, fired, and glazed for you after the workshop. Finished vases will be available for pick-up approximately 4 weeks after the workshop. Shipping requires an additional charge paid at check-in.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian. Minimum student age is 6.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your session to check in wearing close toes shoes and clothing suitable for working with clay. Class will be held in the Starworks Clay Studio. Check in at the School House Gallery at Starworks. (Main Entrance) Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to class date. Cancellations made after that date will not be refunded.

About your instructor - Aislinn Baker
Aislinn Baker is the current clay making intern at starworks in Star, NC. She received her BFA at Utah State University under the guidance of John Neily, Daniel Murphy, and Todd Hayes. Aislinn was awarded the Caine Scholars Scholarship Award as well as the outstanding Senior Award from USU in 2025. She has presented her work at NCECA’s Juried National Teapot Show in 2025 as well as the Tippets and Eccles Galleries at USU. Her work is inspired by Familial relationships, Fiber arts, and Floral Motifs.
