Intro to Plasma Cutting Workshop
Saturday, July 18 at 9:30am or 1pm
Instructed by artist and Director of Starworks Metals, Mac Metz.
The handheld plasma torch allows users to cut almost any shape or pattern imaginable. From simple shapes and letters to complex scenes and imagery. Workshop participants with be given the technical background of the machine as well as the hands on experience of cutting with plasma. No experience required. Steel is provided and participants will leave with the objects they cut to display at home. Students are asked to wear organic fiber pants and closed toed shoes. All other safety gear is provided. Ages 16+
Cost: $250 per student, space is limited. Register below.
Time: 9:30am-12:30pm OR 1pm-4pm
Location: Starworks, 100 Russell Drive, Star, NC
Safety: Students must wear protective clothing such as closed toed shoes or boots and cotton denim pants. Instructor reserves the right to refuse any student from participating for not wearing these items. Please refrain until after your hands on workshop to enjoy an alcoholic beverage from our Cafe & Taproom. Please note that studio temps may be high during warmer months, and while using metalworking equipment. We encourage you to drink plenty of water and take breaks as needed.
Check In & Cancellations: Check in at the School House Gallery at Starworks. (Main Entrance) Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to class date. Cancellations made after that date will not be refunded.
