Carving out Creatures: Introduction to Sculpting in Borosilicate Glass

Manipulate glass into animalistic sculptures that can be turned into pendant jewelry and figurines displays! Additionally they could be applied to functional objects like chopsticks or stirring sticks. The class will focus on providing a menu of base techniques for students to apply to their own imaginations. Students can expect to make one to four sculptures, depending on complexity. Long pants, close toed shoes, and natural fiber clothing required. Ages 16+
Your finished pieces will cool slowly after class and be ready for pickup at a date determined by your instructor. Shipping is available for an additional fee and can be arranged at check-in prior to your workshop.
Safety Requirements
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, all participants must follow these guidelines:
Closed-toe shoes, long pants, and natural-fiber clothing are required
Long hair must be tied back
Participants must be 16 years or older
Please refrain from consuming alcohol before your workshop
Water bottles are encouraged and allowed in the Hot Shop

Cost: $80 per student
Class size is extremely limited
Advance registration is required
Full payment is due at the time of registration
Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to the workshop date. Cancellations made after that time are non-refundable.
