Ceramic Jewelry Workshop
with Resident Artist Katie Reeves
Saturday, March 21, 1pm-3pm
In this workshop with resident artist Katie Reeves, students will learn the fundamentals of making ceramic jewelry while making several pieces that can act as either earrings or pendants.
No clay or jewelry experience needed. Using wire, clay and underglazes, students will make jewelry that can be worn for every occasion! All supplies and firings included. Student work available for pick up or delivery 1 month after the workshop. Shipping requires an additional charge at check-in on the day of the workshop.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian. Minimum student age is 6.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your session to check in wearing close toes shoes and clothing suitable for working with clay. Class will be held in the Starworks Clay Studio. Check in at the School House Gallery at Starworks. (Main Entrance) Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to class date. Cancellations made after that date will not be refunded.

About your instructor - Katie Reeves
Katie Reeves is a Queer ceramic artist originally from Minnesota. They have been dedicated to their craft for well over a decade. In 2021, they completed a BFA in Ceramics and a BS in Art Ed. After graduating, they moved to Minneapolis in 2022 to begin a Residency at Northern Clay Center. Their functional ceramicwares are a celebration of sensuality, femininity, classical aesthetics, and intimacy, all deeply influenced by their personal journey as a Queer individual. During their time at Starworks they are experimenting with different firing methods, clay bodies and they are diving deeper into refinement of the intricacies of their décor and refine their craft while creating a more powerful reference to antiquity.
