Bead Meditation: Introduction to Bead Making

Learn to use and oxygen/propane torch to form glass beads on the mandrel. Focus will be on glass application, experimental designs and shaping into a variety of simple bead forms. Student can expect to make 4-10 beads, depending on the size and complexity.
Long pants, close toed shoes, and natural fiber clothing required. Ages 16+. No prior glass experience is needed; just bring your curiosity and creativity.
Your finished piece will cool slowly after class and be ready for pickup at a date determined by your instructor. Shipping is available for an additional fee and can be arranged at check-in prior to your workshop.
Safety Requirements
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, all participants must follow these guidelines:
Closed-toe shoes, long pants, and natural-fiber clothing are required
Long hair must be tied back
Participants must be 16 years or older
Please refrain from consuming alcohol before your workshop
Water bottles are encouraged and allowed in the Hot Shop

Cost: $80 per student
Class size is extremely limited
Advance registration is required
Full payment is due at the time of registration
Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to the workshop date. Cancellations made after that time are non-refundable.
