Lucky Kernan
Starworks Glass Intern - Fall 2025
Lucky Kernan is a glassblower, illustrator/printmaker, and theatre maker. They discovered glass by chance in 2020, apprenticing in Waynesboro, VA, while finishing theatre school remotely. After graduating and returning to New York City in 2021, Lucky found their footing in the glass community as an artist, educator, and studio technician.
Their theatre background informs their glass practice through movement, breath, and storytelling—often exploring play and light, memory, adornment, gender, and neurological nonconformity. Lucky is currently developing two plays written for the hotshop, performed alongside live glassblowing, and is passionate about community-building and knowledge-sharing among queer and neurodiverse artists.
Peter Tietbohl
Full-time Starworks Glass Artist & Instructor
Peter Tietbohl began blowing glass six years ago at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading, PA, where they quickly fell in love with the material, process, and community. They spent countless hours assisting Studio Manager Scott Krenitsky and supporting local artists, experiences that deepened their dedication to the craft and fueled their personal artistic growth.
When the need for an assistant arose, Peter trained his father—who had no prior experience—to help bring their creative vision to life, resulting in many of the works featured in this portfolio. Their glass has been offered for sale at the GoggleWorks Store since 2019 and at K2 Gallery Arts in Westcliffe, CO. Committed to continual learning, Peter aims to keep expanding his skills and contributing to the evolution of the glass community.
