Starworks is proud to present Embellished Moments, a new exhibition showcasing the work of our 2024–2025 class of ceramic intern artists: Sarah Dassouki, David Kwak, and Reese Nguyen. The exhibition will be on view in the School House Gallery at Starworks from July 26 through August 24, Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The public is warmly invited to an Opening Reception on Saturday, July 26 at 5:30 p.m., a double celebration that also marks the opening of The Dark Show, Starworks’ exhibition of luminous, light-emitting, and light-bending artworks spanning a variety of mediums.

Embellished Moments reflects a pivotal time in the creative journeys of Dassouki, Kwak, and Nguyen as they conclude their year-long internships at Starworks. Over the past year, these rising ceramic artists have explored local North Carolina clays, developed new methods and practices, assisted visiting artists, supported wild clay production, and contributed to the vibrant Starworks community. Their work demonstrates both technical rigor and creative curiosity.
