September 9, 5:30pm

The Smokehouse Bistro food truck will be on site. Stick around after the demonstration for Drew Foust performing live in the STARworks Café & Taproom.
Covid Vaccination Required to Enter Glass Studio
We are excited to bring Hot Glass Cold Beer back after a year-long hiatus! (Thanks Covid 😏) We really, really, REALLY want people to enjoy themselves in the studio and have a great time without any worry about getting sick. With Covid numbers rising across the state and Montgomery County’s numbers being among the highest, we feel it’s our duty to make sure everyone is safe at our events. For that reason, the September Hot Glass Cold Beer is open to anyone who has been vaccinated against Covid.
Space in the studio is limited even without social distancing, so we feel it is important to make sure everyone is vaccinated for the safety of all. Those 12 and younger may attend without a vax card as long as they are accompanied by a vaccinated adult. Vaccination cards will be checked at studio entrance.
Everyone, regardless of vaccine status, is welcome in the STARworks Café & Taproom and at the food truck we have booked for the event since it is much, much easier to practice social distancing in those areas than it is in the glass studio.
Masks are required inside the STARworks building unless you are seated in the cafe
We are following CDC guidelines regarding the Covid 19 pandemic. Our requirements for visiting may change accordingly.
If you have not been vaccinated yet, never fear! We will record our Hot Glass Cold Beer and post it on our YouTube channel the following day.
RSVP Required
Tickets are available by reservation only. You can register by selecting September 9 from the calendar at the bottom of the page or by calling 910-428-9001. We are charging a small fee (only $5!) to reserve seating. You get your first drink FREE when you get here and show us your vax card. You can use your free drink card for beer or wine if you’re 21 and older, or for coffee, smoothies, etc for all ages.

Artist Statement
Before I am an artist I am a craftsman.
My work is about intersecting experiences and the rediscovery and shaping of relics into new forms as a way of self-questioning. Many things can exist as relics. In my vocabulary relics can be ancient artifacts but they can also exist as metaphors for objects in our memory. These memories exist in a place and time and the objects associated to them are what I consider intersecting experiences. These intersecting experiences come in many different forms and tap into our subconscious in different ways. My work seeks to connect to an audience on this level. This connection to someone else’s nostalgia of objects in a place and time is what intrigues me the most.
It is important for me as an artist to create fine crafted glass sculptures because it is exactly this interaction with the material that solidifies and unfolds the rediscovery process for me. It is also significant that these objects be recognizable as a tool for association. Glass is the perfect medium to accomplish these goals because of its ethereal quality and its nature of transparency.
