Omar Ruiz-Lopez is a multi-instrumentalist specializing in violin, viola, cello, guitar and mandolin in the group Violet Bell, with Lizzy Ross. His love and respect for the fiddle and its abilities has led him to develop a style of playing uniquely his, making him a valuable asset onstage and in the studio. He has performed professionally with acts such as Jonathan Byrd, Steph Stewart and the Boyfriends, Crystal Bright, Sinful Savage Tigers, and Chocolate Suede. Omar has also composed and performed several original pieces with the Durham Symphony Orchestra. He engages in teaching educational workshops and lessons on composition, arranging, technique and performance habits.

Joe MacPhail is a Durham, North Carolina born keyboardist, drummer, and songwriter. He is a member of multiple bands including The Oblations, Matt Phillips & The Back Pocket, Violet Bell, and dreamRoot. Joe plays a fusion of Blues, Jazz, Funk, Neo-Soul, Folk, Classical, and World music. He is a musician for local nonprofit Arts In Action, playing for dance classes in NC schools. His solo project is called SunSp.t.
